From R W Meaden at 2007-06-22 21:06:00 : It Is interesting to see the site of the Brighton R ailway Works ,and some of the old photo's of the Works,Since I have a strong family connection. My Grt Grt Grandfather William Dugdale Meaden was the foreman of the brass foundry 1853-1893 and his son Henry Edward Meaden worked in the same foundry all his working life, and my Grandfather Robert Meaden did his apprenticeship there as a Boilermaker.
