The build on the left belongs to plot D, this will be flats and retail. From the same posistion as the last photo, this looks up the new main road - Fleet Street - you can again see (the other side) plot D on the left. The dark spot in thevery middle (just about a yellow warning sign) is shown in the next picture. It is on the new road leading to the new car park. The trees tops in the middle of the picture are actually on a steep bank along the side of New England Road, in between the main railway viaduct and the old (unused) railway bridge. Taken from the back of the upper car park. Sunday morning sees the weekly car-boot sale, this photo was taken Sunday late afternoon, where only two vans remain. Take this same shot in a year or so and we will no longer be able to see S. Bartholomew's Church roof, buildings (on plot K) will obstruct the view. Plot K, ready to be built on. You can see the brick pillar sticking up at the right here, which can be seen on the left of the earlier photo. Out of shot, the brick pillars on the far left are for the station above. On the right is where New England Street used to end, all trafic now goes straight ahead, turning 90 degree right, and then working a diagnal back to join New England Street further down. S. Looking up from Ann Street. You can just make out the concret wall which has just appeared. Behind the old brick wall and below the craine. (there's a fence on top of it) Same as previous though looking more towards the right. The wall creates two seperate levels, rather than a steady slope. Looking from the short stay car park. From the short stay car park, looking along the side of the station, towards the front of the building. Again from the short stay car park, this time towards New England Street. At the bottom, the other side of the fence we saw earlier (img264), though this shot is primarly trying to catch a view towards Elm Grove and Brighton General Hospital that may be very different in a years time A view towards the south east, with pelham tower (Brighton College) on the left. at the edge of the main car park looking south east towards new england street. We can see things starting to take shap, with road outlines clearly visible. Looking away from the station (basically north west) to the end of the car park. In the middle of the car park was a large area, now lower than the rest of the car park and full of concrete... ... at the end you can see the remains of what must have been an old bridge (presumably for the original line from London?) looking west, with the new multiple story car park in the middle (hiding the tracks behind), and buildings on Howards Place in the distance. a plan, at the car park entrance.
